Thank You Malaysians!

Thank you Petaling Jaya, Thank you Malaysians!

The people has spoken overwhelmingly and we at the DAP look forward to serving you with all our hearts.

I've received countless sms's and emails (not to mention tens of Facebook messages) of congratulations, as well as kind words of encouragement. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all friends and supporters for the encouragement! ;-)

I'd also like to apologise if I can't respond to every sms or email as I can tell you that my phone is jamming and hanging and re-booting (it takes forever) so often due to the sheer volume of calls and sms's coming in. There are also literally hundreds of emails I've received! ;-)

Do know that I will be getting on with work even today as we have unexpected won not only a large number of seats, but also the Selangor, Perak and Penang state government. Now I have to think about how we can come up with consistent and constructive policies as the governing party to make these states the most forward looking states in the country. (Assistance from talented Malaysians willing to serve in Government to make a positive change welcome).

Thank you, thank you once again for being part of history in the making! Carpe Diem!

Tony, congratulations!

For the 1st time in a long while, I wake up this morning feeling hopeful for our country. Now that we have 5 states, go show them how to run a government properly.

If your guys need help, any kind at all, ask and there'll be many who will be willing to pitch in and help. Let's turn Selangor into a state that is the envy of the BN folks.

So much to do. Please get started :-)

Don't be discouraged when people say there will be so many problems making cooperation work between DAP, PKR and PAS. I believe that with the same spirit of generosity as you all displayed before the election you can make it work! God bless you!

Dear YB Tony Pua,

Congratulations! Your efforts have finally paid off! I am your hardcore supporter that you have never met before. I read your blog everyday without fail. I could not sleep last nite after knowing you have won and that the opposition parties scored historical victories!

I am a face reading expert too, and as I have predicted before that you will win this battle easily. Your 'guardian angel' is indeed always be with you to bring you courage, strength, and good luck for the good deeds you accumulated! I am very very proud of you and your parents!

My only disappointment is that the Oxford hooligan KJ won in Rembau (controversially). However, the opposition should thank him for he indirectly is the person who single handedly was responsible for changing the minds of thousands of people crossing over to vote for the opposition due to his antics and threats. He is a burden and liability of BN. Pak Lah, whether he likes it or not, should accept that his racist SIL is his number one enemy!

So 13 is in indeed a “sway” unlucky number for Pak Lah. He should sack his feng shui master or bomoh or astrologist or watever, and appoint me as his feng shui advisor. My only advice to him is to do good deeds to the people and stop being a hypoctite and corrupt leader that practices nepotism to enrish his cronies. Abolish NEP, ISA, and stop differentiating us with Bumi or non-Bumi.

I now see hope in this country! Once again, I want to express my heartiest congratulations to you and I hope you can bring positive changes to the community and the country!

God Bless YB Tony Pua!

Congratulations YB Tony Pua!!

To the soon to be PM (may not stay to long).

People say 13 is an unlucky number, but you do not believe, instead you believe in someone else.

People want to feed you good food, but you do not want to eat, instead you prefer to eat the poisons supple by your own sil and the 4th floor smart alexes.

People are telling you that they are suffering and hard to live nowadays, but you “tak suka dicabar”.

People tell you that the “wind of change” or a tsunami is coming but you believe your 4th floor smart alexes, that this is not true and you will capture Kelantan and retain Penang.

You are blind to all these things that are going to happen but the funny thng is that you does not look blind. Your two eyes are still looking good.

The only advise I can give to you now is:
“DO NOT BE ARROGANT, LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE GROUSES AND ATTEND TO IT AND NOT SPRAY THEM WITH YOUR CHEMICAL LACE WATER AND DETAIN INNOCENT PEOPLE UNDER YOUR ISA”

Congratulations Tony and DAP for DAP's BIG win throughout Malaysia!

The rakyat has spoken and have given DAP, Keadilan & PAS an opportunity to prove their worth. Remember, never take the rakyat for granted, as should the Opposition screw up this golden opportunity, expect voters to swing back to BN in next general elections. However, should the Opposition serve the rakyat well, maybe the Opposition might just form the govenment in the next general elections!

Syabas DAP! Syabas Keadilan! Syabas PAS!

I do not think being a millionaire would cause you to want to take wealth from our country unlike certain incumbents or rather ex incumbents we know of. SO keep up the good work, will pray for you for extra wisdom from on high. By the way, please do something to the LDP extension on flyover to TTDI and eating up the ground of the residents of Jalan SS21/44 where a primary school is located. Dear Tony,

Congratulations on your resounding and convincing victory. Let's all be humble. The rakyat has given the opposition a chance to rule and may the states of Penang, Perak, Selangor, Kedah & Kelantan be show-cases of how the opposition can come together and rule. If you do not perform in this term, don't expect to be given a second chance. Lets be happy, give ourselves a pat at the back, but not be in celebration. The real work has just started. With the American recession looming and rising oil prices, we can expect rough days ahead.

Once again, congratulations to your team.

Congratulations ! I am so glad that oppositions get to govt 5 states and that you have won. There are so much repairings and cleanings to do that are undone for 40 over years. I would like to say thank you to all of the opposition candidates who have work hard for making Malaysia a better place to live and giving us hope. I believe that we will be better than Singapore and Hong Kong with all these cleanings and change improvements. Thus ,being compared by them instead of us to them ,truly proud and standing high in the global stage as a good and leading example for the world. Take good care as I among your supporters are going to support you in future elections as i know 4 years are not enough to fully clean up those trash left unattended for 40 over years. Good luck !

BN wants to do a post mortem to determine the reasons behind their loss. Are they still sleeping? The people have voiced it out long ago. Haven't they heard anything? At the Opposition ceramahs issues were brought up. Didn't their "spies" report to the boss? Let them sleep for another 4 years. Then the Opposition will finally take the 2/3 majority instead. Thanks for being the voice for Malaysian.

I was borned in Malaysia and now live in U.S. for over 25 years. It is time for me to move back to K.L to join you to rebuild this country.

I finally see hope in my birth country. THANK YOU.

Q1- How can a citizen of U.S. come back to M'sia with only 3 months visitor visa make a different in this country? (Lots of countries are legal to have more than one citizenship. Australia and H.K. are just a few example.)

Q2- I would like to start an affordable U.S. international high school here in Malaysia, however, I will only do it without NEP program in place. Any suggestion?

I believe "RIGHT" and affordable quality education is the only way to impacting the next generation.

Quality means ALL teachers will be American with college degree in education.

Q3-How long does a teacher visa last in this country. I can't possible put these teachers in a one year visa status. If they willing to follow me to M'sia to serve Malaysia's youth, they need to have min 5 years visa without subject to MOE yearly renewal policy.

Not all Malaysian can afford to go to U.S. to study. I would like to bring U.S. to Malaysia. What is your take on this idea?

Q4-To start a school is not a cheap venture. How can my investment be protected from the present Keris Kisser Minister of MOE?

How can the school be protected and not to subject to their treat of not renew school permit due to non sense reasons?

Q5- I would like the school to open to everyone instead of 40% to Malaysian and 60% to international students per present International school quota/requirement.

Any suggestion?

May God bless you with wisdom to lead this country to the right path.

I read your bio and you are in deed being blessed by God and angels.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Tony,

You really did a great job. I am totally impressed by your speeches in the previous rally in Petaling. Although I am in Singapore now I can still feel the heat of the 12th general election in Malaysia.

It had proven that Malaysia needs a new blood in the government regardless of federal or state government. I hope that you and your opposition coalition will start work now to make sure everything will go very smooth in the states ruled by your party. Go ahead to help Malaysia revise the old and rigid policies and systems and bring us a brand new Malaysia. This is what every single Malaysian is hoping.

I hope the Ruling party in Penang, Perak, Kedah and Selangor will show a good job. One humble suggestion from me, you and your partners actually can learn from the Kelantan state government ruled by PAS. Although they are Islamist Party, the ways they rule the state are excellent. All races are well threatened and this is the sole reason why they can continue to win the heart of every Kelantanese.

Honestly speaking I am from Kelantan, I witnessed the unique phenomenon happen in the state, and I am sure that this situation will continue in the state under PAS ruling.

Politics is all about power. How well you can gain the power from the people and how well you manage to play with the power given by the people.

GOOD JOB!!! Happy to hear the achievements made by DAP, KeADILan and PAS.
STAY STRONG AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT the Barisan Alternative.

Congrats on your victory, and also to the entire DAP PJ team. I am not from PJ, but voted in Hulu Langat for the opposition. I have been following the PJ campaign via the internet. I sense your dynamic leadership and as a new-kid-on-the-block, I strongly suggest that you can start the ball rolling among all DAP YBs nationwide by officially calling yourself Yang Berkhidmat, instead of Berhormat. Tony,

I really hope Barisan Rakyat makes significant changes. The schools would be a great place to start. Yes - show BN what real Malaysia should look like. Penang, Klang Valley and Perak should become the mini Malaysia of the future that should have already happened by now if only we hadn't been 'raped' in the past 4 years by corrupt men of power.

I hope PAS, PKR and DAP will stay focused on what matters most because people will just switch back to BN otherwise. Today we finally have hope. Malaysians have proven they care about more than just their makan habits so they are worth the fight and struggle you will endure in the next 4 years. This is our version of the downfall of the Bastille. It can go down in history as the Malysian Revolution - fought with spirit, not by force.

Our kids finally have a chance to be true Malaysians regardless of race.

Tony - make opposition states the envy of Singapore.

'Barisan Rakyat Boleh' is my dream for our future..

All the best. So many of us are with you.

And my fellow Malaysians - thank you. Today we have seen that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS COUNTRY IF WE WORK TOGETHER.

Hey, congrats. though I’m not eligible to vote yet for this year, but I’ll be, for the next term. I totally agree that there shouldn’t be any division in the rakyat. We as Malaysians should have equal rights. Adults are not the only ones who feel it, even us, the future generation of the country feels it.
1. Back in school, the bumiputras have this special privilege. In a certain Lembaga, if there is not enough bumiputras in it, they will offer some posts to them, and allow them to join without the need of interviews and exams.
2. Why are the … always the best students in Malaysia even though the other races often get better results than they do?
3. We all have the right for proper education. The parents have done their duties well, what about the teachers who don’t teach in class?
4. We wonder, how much money did the government give to the schools? How come the school drains would still “flood” during rainy season?

Never mind about all this, the MOST important thing is that you are up there now to help us. We pray that you’ll continue to be strong and courageous with God’s wisdom.

Your soon-to-be voters

Hi Tony,

Firstly, we hope that your team will be able to come to common Goals with the other Opposition members. Would it be too much to hope that the people's DAP can be in the positions of MB / CM or Deputy in states other than Penang?

Secondly, if all you ever do is to facillitate elections at MBPJ and Local Council Levels, the people would be eternally grateful. Good to get rid of the bunch of parasites. Hope you persecute them according to the Law.

Morning has broken and the voters had spoken! A new dawn is here! A new era begins!

DAP, PKR, and PAS have been chosen by the bosses (we people) to carry out their duties in Kelantan, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, and FT (KL). Let’s all hope that they do the job properly and are accountable to the people.

Let’s pray that the newly acquired power does not corrupt them and leads to internal fights among themselves. Please treat all Malaysians as equals, while giving proper assistance to those who need it. As Nik Abndul Aziz Nik Mat said: “All are brothers and sisters. There should be no more dividing people along racial lines.” (Also, along religious lines.)

We applaud the leaders of DAP, PKR, and PAS. But we must not allowed them to be hailed as super heroes, like “28 MIC candidates, who hailed their chief (ie, SV) as the greatest man ever born” (OMG! They and their greatest-man-on-earth boss totally deserved to be annihilated!)

Elected DAP, PKR, and PAS MPs and state assemblymen: please be humble and sincere. Don’t be like Mohamad Khir Toyo – see the photo in page N31 of the Star (9.3.08). This arrogant and superstitious dumb bought a motorbike with the number plate BJV 8888 (his good luck number, supposed to bring good luck to him and Selangor BN to achieve a no-opposition DUN; well, he is now the opposition) and rode the bike with his wife WITHOUT crash helmets! He believed he is above the law!

Please, please DAP, PKR, and PAS: cooperate and work together for the good of all Malaysians! You control FT (KL), Selangor, Perak, Penang, Kedah, and Kelantan – that’s a super-corridor for you to launch your next attack on the BN! The five states and FT (KL) should work together to form an economic and political power!

This is only the beginning of the end of the BN and also the beginning of the rule by DAP, PKR, and PAS. The real battle has just begun and it will climax 4 or 5 years from now in the next GE, the 13th GE! (Remember 13 is the favourite number of AAB.) If DAP, PKR, and PAS foul up in the next 4 to 5 years, the voters/bosses will discard them! Be forewarned!

Makkal Shakti! People’s power!

I will be looking forward to hearing more good things about your work. And hopefully, you are able to have a bit of fun and take a short break from work to spend time with your family sometime soon.

Congratulation YB Pua,

It is indeed a very strong performance by the opposition party especially DAP in this GE. I believe that all the voters had chosen DAP because we really need a CHANGE.

YB, as the voter had placed a high hope, determination and I shall say that we make a gamble on DAP because we believe in DAP's manifesto as well as our coming generations's future. Hence, YB don't disappoint us. This tsunami doesn't come everyday. No worry, we'll alway be there with you.

** By the way, is it true that Perak State Mentri Besar will be from PAS?? Just heard from the news that, PAS will implement an Islamic administration in their newly captured state, Kedah but subject to the approval in the state assembly.
Well, if this is the case, it will be a very worrying situation. Really hope that the leadership of DAP and PKR consider the sentiments, concern as well as the community's wishes before the decision is made.

YB Pua, hope that you can enlightent me on the issue that i raised as I believe this is a concerns of everyone. And last but no least, bring us more cheers and development particularly in those states under DAP and PKR.

Regards,
Mark

sph said...

Let's not forget that the ruling party is still BN although they do not have absolute power this time. It still won't be easy getting things implemented. There will be objections from BN and vice versa. Whatever promised may raise objections from BN, just as Opposition may raise objections to BN's plans. There will be lots of hiccups along the way.

Hi Tony
I just realized Dr. Kumar won the parliment seat and not state seat, therefore, not qualified to be in State Exco. My mistake. Nevertheless, he and his team of people are long time fighters for the marginalise in estates in Perak. I am sure their ideas and actions can be replicated around the nation.

Thanks again, you have made a great difference for us!

Dear Tony,

My suggestions since DAP is part of the ruling coalition in Penang, Perak and Selangor:

State level
- Initiate seizure / lockdown of all documents pertaining to previous state and local governments which may indicate hanky panky. This includes correspondences and letters.

- On land related matters, you will also need to get professional lawyers familiar with land issues to do a thorough check of all the land ownership problems. perhaps you would need to get Teresa's input on this one because there is something on Kampung Bersatu, Puchong which the Selangor State should look into.

- Appoint independent auditors to do an investigation of all these deals.

- Set a timeline (preferable 6 months from year end) as to when the local governments can release timely information of their accounts and details to be make public. Will be good if you can get it audited and approved quickly by the Auditor General

- Review all appointment of city councillors especially those highlighted by the Sun. Edward Lee & Teresa Kok should be your best pals in this.

Medium - Long Term
- Move a motion in Parliament to discuss and amend the land ownership laws. Refer to Adorna Properties v. Boonsom Boonyanit case on the. If you can, get the book written by N.H. Chan, DPCM on Judging the Judges. Perhaps, a discussion with Bar Council or fellow DAP colleauge (Gorbind & Karpal?) will help as well?

- Initiate local council election. May have legal problems (federal laws???) I am very sure if DAP initiates local council election, it will set a very good example of DAP model of governance.

That's my take for now...:)

Dear Tony,

Other suggestions:

On LDP highway, which is one of the most contentious issue with the public, I suggestion the Selangor consider building an alternate parallel free road to elevate the traffic congestion between Puchong and Sunway. I am not expert in road building and it might very well be works ministry job but perhaps Selangor State can be proactive and call this a state work?

On water issue, I understand from news report Kumpulan Darul Ehsan is in charge of getting SPAN into action for Selangor. Apparently, Gamuda is willing to part with Splash. Perhaps you can look at the water rates and impact on the consumers?

Dear YB,
I hope you read this, pls present our 3 main concerns to the parliament:-

1. Law and Order - The new governmnet must do more to ensure its citizens security and reduce crime.

2. Inflation - Cost of daily necessities and always going up and wages and not following and the previous Governmet tells us inflation is in order. Pls do something to keep prices down.

3. Corruption - We need to stop all this commission padi for arms and awardment of contracts without tender and merits. These monies could be spend on the rakyat better.

Lastly, pls tell Dr. Cheah and in SS2, "murni restaurant" is too much to play its table and chairs along the whole streets and this causes massive traffic problems as the patrons tend to park their cars in the residential areas opposite and make noises at night.

Thank you and congrats and we look forward to you "adding value" to the country as our MP of PJ Utara.

Just watched a commentary on Astro by BN supporter. They have been jolted up. They will still exclusively (& 1 might guess biasely) draw up the budget exclusively(right?), iron out the ppl's grouses, Assist the people in their lost states through a phantom government (on a humanitarian front). Play on the constitutionally providenced Malay rights issue, which the opposition aims to do away with. & thereby return backing for Umno.
This seems likely, unless the opposition does exceptionally well & tackles the Bumi rights tactfully, effectively (other than staying in tact as a coalition)
There will be many challenges, the new coalition will need much expertise & support. Pls advise on how we may assist early on. Thanks.

BA needs to deliver on its promises. Sir, you have not earn the support of the people yet. We are giving BA and people like yourself a chance to prove your worth.

A vote against the BN government this time is merely a vote of protest against corruptions, abuses of power, arrogant, racial and religious bigotry of UMNO, curtailment of freedom of speech and basic human rights. Do not be deceived to think that this is a vote of support for BA. The biggest sins of BN government is to put innocent individuals in detention and to corrupt our judicial systems which I cannot stomach. That is pure EVIL and that was the last straw and I voted for you to stand up against "kezaliman" on innocent and helpless citizen of Malaysia. BN debacle is their own doing and not because of what BA has done. Do not make the same mistake of BN government. We are putting our hope in you, do not fail us.

Maximizing wealth of a company is different from serving your constituency. The formal is about investing and maximizing returns, while the later is about giving without expectation of any returns. BA has "talk the talk" and now it is time to "walk the walk".

I have no doubt that you are sincere and genuine in wanting to make Malaysia a better place for our current generation and generations to come. Unfortunately, too often then not, most people despite their initial noble intentions, somehow get led astray along the way. We are banking on you to stay on course to your original aspirations and your hope to make Malaysia a better place for all Malaysians.

Congratulations to you for being elected as a MP. You got it easy this time around because we are giving BA a chance. However, you will need to prove your worth the next round. We know we can count on you. Your opponent YB CMF, worked extremely hard and was selfless in her pursuit to serve her constituency and yet she lost. You will not stand a chance to win the next round unless you are prepared to do likewise.

YB,

As much as i would like to congrat you for the tsunami win, i am also addressing some issues of my concerns for you and your team to digest.

First of all, some voters simply see that the swift of support from BN to BA creates a new hope for our future generation and a new beginning of Malaysian politics. Is that really true? Or still remain the same.

I agreed, but to a certain extend. What I dont see here is eventhough BA won quite a substantial seats and in 5 states, there are still major issues havent been resolve amongst the parties in partnership. Likewise, the major issue is role to play by each parties, eg. those who claims to be MB for the state will practise the party beliefs and memorandum, therefore it may deprive other parties' need.

I wonder how effective the joint partnership can be without a common goal and vision as a government.

Shouldnt the 3 parties and individual candidates and also Hindraf leaders sit together to discuss, resolve and accept before sending out a clear message and mandate as to how the BA should work in these few states for this term as government.

Well, may be this is the first time major win for the opposition and that requires time to work things out between parties before decision. We understand. But dont wait too long as the rakyat can become a little impatient and annoyed if there isnt a transparent decision made at the end of the day.

It is so difficult to form BA and with such a strong support from the rakyat of Malaysia. Please do not waste it and if BA could not work things out for this term of election, then it may be too late to mend any relationship when the next election term is due. The BA will once again face with the fierce bombardment from BN which will probably be lead by a strong leader for their coalition.

You have my blessing and please do your due.

Best wishes.

The frist lesson to learn in opposition politics is not to get carried away with idealism. Do the practical, which is to get ready for next election now.

I read with encouragement that Khalid Ibrahim is moving for some sort of public information act. This is good because it will be the basis of what will keep the opposition in power by going for the heart of UMNO.

In other words, its time to go hunt for the witches. Dig through every decision Khir Toyo, Muhammad Taib and his cronies have done and hang them out to dry.

If you get to send Mat Deros to jail alone, you get to hold on to Selangor even 5 years from now.

If you get to seize Mat Taib assets, you could convince Sabah and Sarawak to join you.

Think of Perak and Kedah. Could even find Dr. M deals and hang him out to dry...

Anonymous said...

Dear Tony,
Congratulation! Based on the majority you got and the substantial swing of votes, looks you you have indeed changed it!
However, the change must beof substance and for the better, I urge you to look into beefing up police force (as per your ceramah) to reduce crime rate to make PJ Utara a safer place to live.
Also, please look into the raising cost of living for basis day to day items as money is hard earned.
Lastly, corruption needs to be eradicated.
Good luck ahead.

Isa 51:1

“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness

and who seek the Lord:

Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;

Isa 51:2

look to Abraham, your father,
and to Sarah, who gave you birth.
When I called him he was but one,
and I blessed him and made him many.

Isa 51:3

The Lord will surely comfort Zion
and will look with compassion on all her ruins;
he will make her deserts like Eden,
her wastelands like the garden of the Lord.

Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

Isa 51:4

“Listen to me, my people;
hear me, my nation:
The law will go out from me;
my justice will become a light to the nations.

Isa 51:5

My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations.

The islands will look to me
and wait in hope for my arm.

Isa 51:6

Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies.

But my salvation will last forever,
my righteousness will never fail.

Isa 51:7

“Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts:

Do not fear the reproach of men
or be terrified by their insults.

Isa 51:8

For the moth will eat them up like a garment;
the worm will devour them like wool.
But my righteousness will last forever,
my salvation through all generations.”

Isa 51:9

Awake, awake! Clothe yourself with strength,
O arm of the Lord;
awake, as in days gone by,
as in generations of old.
Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces,
who pierced that monster through?

Isa 51:10
Was it not you who dried up the sea,the waters of the great deep,
who made a road in the depths of the sea so that the redeemed might cross over?

Isa 51:11

The ransomed of the Lord will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.

Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isa 51:12

“I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mortal men,
the sons of men, who are but grass,

Isa 51:13

that you forget the Lord your Maker,
who stretched out the heavens
and laid the foundations of the earth,
that you live in constant terror every day
because of the wrath of the oppressor,
who is bent on destruction?

For where is the wrath of the oppressor?

Isa 51:14
The cowering prisoners will soon be set free;
they will not die in their dungeon,
nor will they lack bread.

Isa 51:15

For I am the Lord your God,
who churns up the sea so that its waves roar—
the Lord Almighty is his name.

Isa 51:16

I have put my words in your mouth
and covered you with the shadow of my hand—
I who set the heavens in place,
who laid the foundations of the earth,
and who say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’ ”

Isa 51:17

Awake, awake!

Rise up, O Jerusalem, (Malaysia)
you who have drunk from the hand of the Lord
the cup of his wrath,
you who have drained to its dregs
the goblet that makes men stagger.

Isa 51:18

Of all the sons she bore
there was none to guide her;
of all the sons she reared
there was none to take her by the hand.

Isa 51:19

These double calamities have come upon you—
who can comfort you?—
ruin and destruction, famine and sword—
who can console you?

Isa 51:20

Your sons have fainted;
they lie at the head of every street,
like antelope caught in a net.
They are filled with the wrath of the Lord
and the rebuke of your God.

Isa 51:21

Therefore hear this, you afflicted one,
made drunk, but not with wine.

Isa 51:22

This is what your Sovereign Lord says,
your God, who defends his people:
“See, I have taken out of your hand
the cup that made you stagger;
from that cup, the goblet of my wrath,
you will never drink again.

Isa 51:23

I will put it into the hands of your tormentors,
who said to you,
‘Fall prostrate that we may walk over you.’
And you made your back like the ground,

like a street to be walked over.”

Your God.

Pls clean up all the municipal councils, fire all the corrupted and abusive heads who bully the rakyat. My father saw them carrying a old man hawker's cart up the lorry. So many officers oppressing a 60-70 year old man who's just trying to make a living. Clean up all the councils!!

Well, whats' next?

Time to walk the talk.

Hopefully the DAP, PAS & PKR will NOT fight internally for the posts and let BN use this to make it an issue.

Congrads.

My Dearest YB Tony Pua,

Taking into effect the momentum achieved by the DAP party and the open arms shown by the Rakyaat towards DAP, I think this is the most beautiful time and a window of opportunity for DAP to campaign for the rakyaat to join DAP party.

Strengthen and build up DAP NOW!

Dear Tony, congratualtions.

You invite talented Malaysians to assist you in ideas and work. What about talented Singaporeans?

By the way, I propose, you start by rounding up the merchants and traders. You need their assistance in keeping price affordable now. Understand their concerns and you solve the price issue for the moment. Then start on your new city blueprint. City layout and urban decay is one of the plagues the entire world is facing.

Hey Tony,

Please always remember that you have the lives of Malaysia people in your hands. Handle with care.

Good luck

Hi YB Designate

Congrats on the big win in the last election!

I'm a Singaporean and I've been reading your blog frequently. I believe transformation of sorts in Malaysia politics is imminent. It is what I call democracy at its best.

Dear Tony, a Singaporean suggestion if you don't feel offended.

Look up all the contracts awarded by your preceeding State Government. Those contracts obtained under incorrect manners, do not terminate them outright. You have a city to plan, rehouse, rebuild. You need money. A lot of money. Make a deal with these contracted big shots. Time for them to return some wealth back to society. They get to retain the contracts, but they donate a certain percantage of the profits to your State Government to rebuild infrastructure. Otherwise, re-evaluate the contract, even, ask for new tender.

If you do not mind biting the humble pie for now, NUS has many talented city planners, urban economists whom you can invite as advisers. You need large scale rehousing businesses and residents in your tearing down of parts of the city and putting your new city plan in place.

While you have support, get the people to agree to moving into new homes and business areas, while you (compensate) tear down and rebuild the congested, dirty, dark alleys. It will be good for everyone.

The Singapore model of en-bloc and city renewal (and how we manage people affected) will be a good model for you to look at and alter it to suit Malaysian ways.

Do not hasitate to pull down buildings, or the next elections, you will be at the receiving end of pulling down.

Good luck.

My my.. the arrogant pretentious Tony won his seat. I must admit Tony's lies are working. But I wonder why no one question his failed history in running a third rate Singapore-listed third board little potato firm (and still boasting himself being a big shot CEO and a millionaire - come on what is one million Malaysia Ringgit worth these days). If my prediction is correct, Tony will fail the expectation of the rakyat due to his incompetence in running a company, inherent self-centre selfishness and disdain for Chinese-educated and lowly educated people. Come on rakyat - do your study on Tony, check up his previous blogs prior becoming a politician. He is an arrogant banana man opposing all things Chinese.

I hope my prediction is incorrect. I am afraid the politics in Malaysia will become nastier in coming years and the Malaysians well-being will be very much worst off if people like a rat with poor characters like Tony Chua could be elected. Tony is just being lucky as he rides on the discontent of the Indian, Anwar's wave etc. People voted on party and not candidate. Tony is at the right place at the right time. Lucky Tony, feel sorry for the people. But let's hope my poor prediction on Tony is wrong. Leopard can't change its skin. Let's hope I was wrong.

I hope my message is not censored by Tony as he did many times before. His censorship of blog message reminds me of BN... see the familiarity?

Hi YB Tony,

We the residents of PJU would like to remind you that winning in PJU is not a personal victory but a people victory. Please fulfill your pledge to the people and walk the talk. If yo fail us, we will not forgive you and let us remind you again that you will not have any respets and support from PJU people again should you fail to deliver. The people of PJU are smart intelligent human beings, for a start, please return something for the people as a mark of appreciation to all the PJU residents.
1) Please ensure that there are no more potholes on the roads of PJU.
2) Enforce your security pledge to the people, make PJ a safer place.
3) Make sure MBPJ does their work as Selangor has also formed the state government. So it would be easier for MBPJ to look into the problems of PJ people.
4) Do not dissapoint the mandate PJU residents gave you. remember that you won by landslide majority of 19,000.
5) Please make sure you DO NOT take BRIBES, ANTI-CORRUPTION.....

BRAVO TONY PUA!!!!!!!.. We love you.....

WOW, so many good constructive ideas and comments for YB Tony Pua..

Datin Paduka CMF was a good MP. I'm sure she did work very hard, and to the best of her abilities to hear what the people wants and acts on it. Her only setback is she is not vocal enough (maybe suppressed by her own party??).

Keep this blog site open, and review the comments on it regularly. Its a communication channel for us to feedback to you and your team, the good as well as the not so good.

Congratulations, once again, on your victorious win.

YB Tony,

In your jubilation, please remember those who are still in Kamunting esp. your comrades, Mano & Gana. I believe we should only truly celebrate when they are all free. So I ask you and all the elected reps from Barisan Rakyat to do your utmost to free them and to introduce a Private Member Bill to abolish the ISA.

Btw, to the ex-Rafflesian who said you are wasting your talent and time to be involved in Msian politics. EAT YOUR WORDS!

i am a Malaysian living in Hong Kong and when i read the news of the opposition's wins, i was proud and happy to be a Malaysian once again. The thought of giving up my Malaysian passport is now gone in hopes that the new generation of leader will once again bring Malaysia back to its glory and to economic growth, stability and all the wonderful things Malaysia once was.

I met Tony Pua once many years back when he started his company and it was my first job and he was kind enough to buy something from me, he helped my career a great deal and i hope that he will do the same for PJU and Malaysia as a whole.

Tony, Congratulations and the people have given you a chance and now its time to get working and not to dissapoint the rakyat. the work has just begun.

BEST WISHES AND PLS DO NOT DISAPPOINT US! CHEERIOS TO Uncle Lim , DAP, PKR AND PAS!

Dear YB Tony Pua

Congratulations for being part of a history in the making in Malaysian politics. There are many things to pen but I think to keep it simple, a large majority of PJ people (even those residing outside PJ like me but came back to vote for you; i know a few friends of mine did) have voiced their support for the opposition for a purpose. On top of that I can say that you are a down-to-earth MP (now you are an MP-lah) but fiery at the same time for just-cause. Don't forget why you are there (elected) unlike the other parties before. It's a big responsibility to shoulder & endless mountain to climb. Ok-lah, enough of "mother-like" advice. Believe you get the message as from your ceramahs, it is as though you have read the people's mind & touch their hearts same time. May God give you & family the health, strength & courage when you face all kinds of difficulty the next 5 years! We can expect good-shows in parliament from now & not just puppet-shows. All the very best.

YB Tony Phua,

There is a lot of work to do and we hope to see you do it well! Groom more people like yourself!

One more thing, I strongly feel that PJU and PJS have too many advertising billboard! Reduce them, take them down, this is a place we stay not a billboard city!

Was watching the PM's press conference announcing Federal Govt formation. Five chairs were there.

1. Rosmah
2. Najib
3. Badawi
4. Jeanne
5. Radzi

MCA's president, Mr Ong Kah Ting, was there too. But he had to stand next to a seated Radzi. This is how MCA is treated in BN. This is the kind of respect MCA gets in BN. No wonder MCA were made to BEG for their rights. Saddening....

Congrats to your success!Although I'm a voter in Klang (for DAP CHARLES SANTIAGO,now THE KLANG MP),I'm happy to see DAP took over high growth areas such as Selangor and Penang.Hopefully,a better management of public funds can be seen in the next 5 years. If the fund is employed efficiently, Malaysians (regardless of ethnicity) will greatly benefit from higher GDP-in terms of income and other intangibles.I welcome any request for volunteers for areas within my expertise (Bac. of Civil Engineering and Master of Real Estate).'Jia Yu'!

Dear Tony

Congratulation! There’re many constructive comments here from all walks of life. I will say no more. Just remember that all eyes are on you and the team to deliver. Show us the plan; prove that it works with results. If you are in trouble, ask for help. Many people think that they are suddenly more capable after they are chosen as leaders. Not true. There is no superhuman. Nobody knows everything. Be humble, sensitive to people’s needs, pragmatic, communicate honestly, do more, talk only the essential things, be constructive to your enemies, uphold integrity, be sincere. Be the leader you want others to be. All the best!

If you need any help, anything at all, shout for help & we'll be there. On a personal note: Defend Atria shopping centre in Damansara Jaya, it shouldn't be demolished for the sake of more office space...the residents there need a simple place to lepak :-)

Please get Perak Sultan to agree to the appointment of a non-Muslim to be the MB of Perak.

Why must capable non-Muslims be excluded to be the MB of Perak?

Anonymous said...

Read the Chinese papers on why Perak does not have DAP chief Minister. There is a state constitution passed after May 13, 1969 to prohibit a non-Malays.

If we let BN get 2/3 majority again, they will make sure a non-Malay don't get to be PM ever...

Dear YB Tony Pua. Although the election is over and you have become our YB, your battle royal cry in your ceramahs still lingers in my mind! And it will remain as fresh and sweet scented as that decisive nights in many years to come. I will keep telling my future generations around the born fire that I was there, near the stage, a few feet from you the nights you called to us. Hidup DAP!
