PKFZ: Transport Ministers Benefit from KDSB?

This is the biggest question on many people's minds and as a member of the Public Accounts Committee, I'm obliged to ask each of the 3 Ministers of Transport whom we met as to whether they have received benefits from the developer company, Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, which is owned by the Member of Parliament for Bintulu, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing. It is often telling, and highly interesting, the type of answers which you get from them.

On 15 July 2009, we met with Tun Ling Liong Sik. His answers was short but qualified.
Tony Pua: As a matter of record. Just a straight forward answer which I will ask to all that comes. Are they any benefits which under Kuala Dimensi Sdn. Bhd. and its owner Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and the group companies like Wijaya Baru Sdn. Bhd. and so on that has been provided to Tun during your ten years as a Minister or after your ten years as a Minister which you have taken. For example flights or entertainment and stuff like that.

Tun Dr. Ling Liong Sik: Nothing at all that I can remember.
On 29 July 2009, we met with Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy. His answer was even shorter, and came without a pause.
Tony Pua: Last question, this question I asked to all Ministers that had come. Okay, have the Minister received any benefits in kind or any form from developer whether in terms of travel, entertainment and on so on at any point you have?
Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy: Absolutely not.
And 16 July 2009, I asked the same question to the current Minister of Transport, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, and it must have been one of the most long-winded answer you can give for a straightforward question. Not to mention the fact that I was lectured by the Minister as well! In addition, when I posed the question to him, I distinctly heard my fellow PAC member from Gelang Patah screaming "Too much!" (i.e., I asked a "out of bounds" question).
Tony Pua: Soalan terakhir. For a matter of record.
Dato’ Sri Ong Tee Keat: Kalau dalam Dewan, ini secara spontan saya akan bangkitkan Peraturan Mesyuarat 36(6), sangkaan jahat.
Tony Pua: Ini soalan.
So, did you understand what Ong Tee Keat said? Did he say "yes" or "no" or did he even answer my question?

Interestingly, within 4 weeks after the PAC session with him, it was exposed that he took luxury flights on Tiong King Sing's private jets. Make your own judgements from the above. Did I hear "honour", "integrity" and "moral courage"?

Dear Sir,
This is a total joke of Malaysian politic. The Q and A session of these three past and current transport ministers were playing senile.
Remember the A.K Lingam recorded video court query?
Their wonderful answers have famously become the bigger joke in the world. Even a highly praised distinguished retire politician played the same tactic by answering "I don't know", "I can remember." A comparably best blogger can be able to write few thousands of words in his blog each day and lining out clearly in publishing his political critiques in press or in press conference Q and A and giving of conventional speech, all in good mastering unique procedure; can not remember a single thing of the answer when question put on him? Do you believe it or not?
Is this moral?
These three stooges learned from their ex-master. PAC seems powerless to press them for correct answer they supposed were needed to answer politely and voluntarily, but they could twist and turn their answers by playing their unethical words. Reluctantly they said they couldn't remember or just I don't know. What the bloody fucking morons.
A strong sign is given to the public. They were or are wrongfully chosen to hold offices of government by people.
Now is the time to stop their services as government runners. People should open widely their eyes and look carefully themselves, what are they doing? They are no trying to help develop and look after this country that we people wanted to them to do.
Compare our country to other Asian countries, where is our position?
Enough is enough, 52 years is too long. The game of failure played by BN must put to stop immediately.
NO matter how it will be turned out in the future, BN is definitely out of consideration to put them in office again. Such a mediocre of people should be blocked to appear in politic scene again. This PKFZ is a place to bury them.

Thank you for asking the questions. Yes, you were obliged to ask those questions - i would have expected nothing less from from pac. Are pac admissions made under oath? I would love to see the visual footage of otk's 'lecture'.

I'm wondering whether you prodded him on this after his admission.

Utterly shameless...

And he is the leader of MCA who he says fights for the interest of Chinese people in Malaysia. It sounds more like his own interest.

In fairness to him, you didn't not actually expect him to say he actually did receive 'benefits', did you? hehehhe... We know many people lie in Parliament. He is just one of those spin doctors.

Tony,
Can you help us by telling OTK to keep his jawapan 'ringkas dan padat'. OTK is inflicting psychological stress on us all with his over elaboration.
While you are at it, pass this message to the irritating Wee Ka Siong too.

Thanks

Maybe someone can get the pilot to be the whistle blower, he sure have the log book of who he flew on the planes. Last I heard from a MCA friend, one ex Minister was the biggest user of the private planes.
If only MACC is truly independant and a bit of brains, the pilot should have become the prosecution witness. But then again, would you trust the fish with the cat?

If you’ve ever been stuck in an endless airport line, missed your connection or had to endure multiple layovers to get to a hard-to-reach destination, then you’ve likely yearned for a better way to travel. Commercial airlines just aren’t always the most efficient way to fly. Your time is valuable and shouldn’t be spent camped out in an airport.
