Free Teresa, Abolish ISA!

Sign the Petition to Free Teresa, Abolish ISA! Forward this petition to all Malaysians via email, SMS, blogs or Facebook.

The Barisan Nasional Government has on the 12 September detained Member of Parliament for Seputeh, state assemblywoman for Kinrara as well the senior state executive councillor for Selangor, Sdri Teresa Kok without trial under the draconian Internal Security Act (ISA).

She has been accused of stirring up racial sentiments by instigating residents to petition against mosques in Kinrara and Kota Damansara to lower the volume of their speakers. Teresa denied these allegations and both mosques have also come out to deny these accusations. There is hence absolutely no basis for the arrest. She has already threatened to sue Dr Mohd Khir Toyo, the former Selangor Menteri Besar and Utusan Malaysia for making and publishing these unfounded allegations.

The arrest of Sdri Teresa Kok,Raja Petra Kamaruddin, the Hindraf 5 as well as others is hence arbitrary, high-handed and a mockery of democracy. By labelling Teresa and others as threats to national security without any shred of evidence is a travesty of justice and a gross violation of human rights.

The petitioners hence resolves that the BN government should not use draconian powers under the ISA to cling on to power and demands the immediate and unconditional release of Teresa, Raja Petra, the Hindraf 5 and other detainees. In addition, we the petitioners demand the immediate repeal of the ISA to prevent abuses that oppresses the fundamental liberties of each and every Malaysian.

As loyal and upright Malaysians, sign the petition today!

hi tony..
when i heard about teresa being detained last night, i very nearly fell off my chair. here is a woman who is committed to the rakyat regardless of race, creed or standing, and this happens to her? it irks be big time when an idiot from bukit bendera escapes scoot free and a person of such integrity is victimised. its really ironic, and it has certainly shocked all of us laymen. anyhow, we're sure you guys will get this ironed out a.s.a.p. and do give those clowns from the present government a piece of your mind while your're at it..

Hi Tony,

As Newton's 3rd Law says " An object in motion, tends to stay in motion". As an engineer, we have learnt this nature of law by heart. From this, we will apply it on our daily lives so that human in general will benefit from it.

Unfortunately, a Unfair Misuse of National-resources Organisation has also defined a law of their own as " A party in power, tends to stay in power, by hook or by crook".

This is exactly what has happened to Teresa Kok and 2 others who were arrested by ISA.

Again, we failed to see the arrest of the master cause of the shit stirrer, Ahmad. What is happening here?

We hope at this point of time, all Malaysian, regardless of race shall protest out loud in whatever possible way to tell this organisation that we need Transparency, Fairness, Freedom, Unity in our country.

To everyone surprise, is that they could do in broad daylight (also for the global to view in dismay and disgust),and when everyone will be surprised by their action of arresting these 3 poor Malaysians as there is no ground in their accusations. They are ONLY arresting them for whatever they claim it was to be.

Our country has no more right or wrong. The auditor reports of all the misuse of fund in government department is ok.

Ahmad incites racial tension is ok. The reporter who reported it is not ok.

Raja expressed his opinions is not ok.

Teresa won an election is not ok.

Khir maligned Teresa of the mosque issue is ok. (He is trying to cause tension, ARREST HIM)

We say now, all Malaysians, enough is enough.

Day of Prayer and Fasting – Sep 16 2008

Menteri Besar/Chief Minister of the 5 Pakatan Rakyat Opposition control states should declare Sep 16 2008 a public holiday commerating Malaysia Day – a day of prayer and fasting.

It is 48 hours left to 16th Sep 2008 and it is still possible to act. Malaysians in other states can follow the example set by the 5 Pakatan Rakyat states and follow suit by joining in and observing this Day of Prayer and Fasting – Sep 16 2008.

My fellow Malaysians of all races and faiths should go to their places of worship be it a Mosque, Temple, Gurudwara and pray for the well being of Malaysia our homeland and our friends and fellow Malaysians held under ISA.

Teresa did not make that appeal to lower the volume. Even if she did, what was the big deal?

Many hardworking poor Malaysians only have a few hours of sleep in a long day, why should we deprive them of such right in having a good sleep?

Why don't the Gomen arrest those corrupted, those evils whom used C4, those abusing their powers to enrich themselves instead?

Teresa is my MP and to even think one can sell that she would stir up racial sentiment just show how these people don't even give a thought to doing something that was bound to fail and cause pain to others. Its sheer ivory tower arrogance and stupidity at the same time.

Teresa is not only a concientious MP for all races. Its a matter of public record how she has fought for all races and groups and in fact goes out of her way with her Malay-Muslim constituents. The fact she would even allow anyone to do as she was supposedly charged is ridiculous.

This is about UMNOputraism not about religion and Khir Toyo with his behaviour shows how wrong it can be given his real roots in Indonesia. The man can take for granted so much and be so out of touch and get things so wrong in the short time he has tasted power and privilleges. He is why the NEP has to go and meritocracy the only choice and urgently so.

Hi Tony,

I cry for Malaysia.

The Cops wrongfully arrested Teresa on the unproven allegation of a Toyol. Her continued detention is also wrong.

Two wrongs don't make one right. I pray that she is released immediately.

Ahmad Ismail said Chinese should not be like AMERICAN JEWS !!

That statement itself gives America, Israel and American Jews legitimate reason to intervene in our internal affairs

boss, can we also start a "Put Ahmad Under ISA Detention" Petition?

Done with the petition, Tony.

I wonder Tony, can Pakatan MPs ask for vote of no confidence against Syed "Botak" Hamid?

Can you people send a protest or complain against that Botak to the DYMM Agong?

I have signed the petition. Can we please get more signatures please? This is a cause of concern for all Malaysians. If we remain silent our inaction is a tacit approval to injustice. If we remain unheard the fight for a cleaner, more transparent government is as good as dead. As rakyats we have the right to demand. Please voice your demands in the form of signing the petition.

Terima Kasih.

The arrest of Raja Petra, Sin Chew journalist and Teresa Kok is undemocratic and totally unacceptable; a blatant abuse of power by the ailing, indicisive and hypocrite government.Do not provide them any reason, justification and excuse for further action and manipulation. Let's protest sensibly and peacefully against such provocation. Let us stand in solidarity against such injustice and inequality.
