Najib's New Toy

Wow, our Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has launched a spanking new website, "1Malaysia" with videos, picture galleries and all.

He asked for "rational dialogue to discuss the things that matter deeply to us as a nation... While I may not always agree with you, be assured that your views will be heard."

He also added that "What makes Malaysia unique is the diversity of our people ... and I want to preserve this diversity and unity."

So what do you think? Well, don't just think, tell it to him yourself! His website has a comment page for you to fill in all your "rational dialogues". You have signed the petition for Teresa Kok, Raja Petra, the Hindraf 5 and all the other ISA detainees. Now, go to our honourable deputy prime minister's website comment page and give him a piece of your mind.

There are nearly 24,000 signatories on the petition to date (thank you all for the support! keep them coming!) and if 50% of these signatories post their comments on his website, he might just get the message. It is extremely important for our current Barisan Nasional leaders to really "hear" the rakyat, that we are pissed with BN, that we have become the laughing stock of the world, that Pak Lah administration is in complete shambles, that his economic policies are condemning us to mediocrity (or worse), that many of our Ministers are a joke.

I've received many emails asking what you can do. You can do this. But remember, be "rational", we do not need to go overboard to win the argument. We let the facts speak for itself. And remember, the IPs are likely tracked so please, no seditious stuff, we will not go to Datuk Ahmad Ismail or Penang UMNO's level.

And better still, get 10 other friends and family members to do the same!

hah! too little too late..

does the man not realise that it's your ACTIONs (or lack thereof) that will determine their continued success rate? Throwing up a website/little video (although goodlah, he's trying lol) will not help in a big way..

signed the petition btw :) Not sure I'd leave a comment for him.

If I post comments about "C4" on his website, will he use my IP address and arrest me under ISA?

It's better to have this toy then C4 .

So what if he now has a blog of his own.

Can we calls his names like we used to or we have to be kaki bodek? Is it that anything not nice to his ears or names other than YB, will automatically be deleted?

If he really wants to, good or bad, he has to take it like a REAL MAN.

Sent. I hope all bloggers will post comment for DPM too :)

Yes, great to have his website, we can now deliver our 'love' notes to him...of course, rationally.
Let's see, what his intentions truly are. I am still suspicious though..."If we can find one good man in Umno (Zaid left), I may change my way of thinking"

What Abdullah Badawi should do

As many of you may not know 600 years of British Parliamentary system on which we are based, let me clarify the salient points:

1] the Leader of the Opposition claims to have a Majority of the MPs in Dewan.

2] Pak Lah government must test the claim in Parliament NOW and immediately call for a sitting of Parliament for a Vote of Confidence [not no confidence].

3] if Pak Lah loses he has to resign forthwith.

4] If he refuses to accept the Claim of the Leader of the Opposition, then,

5] it is the RIGHT and Privilege of the Leader of the Opposition to DEMAND the resignation of Pak Lah in PUBLIC.

6] If Pak Lah still rejects, then, the Leader of the Oppostion has the Right an dPrivilge to call upon the Agong to form a New Government based on the Claims of the Leader of the Opposition.

7] If Pak Lah knows his Parliamentary Traditions, protocol, and practices, he simply tender the resignation of the UMNO Government ...

and test the new Government for a Vote of No Confidence.

[as it is now, the Speaker is also IGNORANT becoz NONE have the experience of 600 years of British System ]

What's a website when we can't even read the comments posted. Very lame attempt. Looking forward for the change.

DON'T GO TO HIS COMMENT!!!!!

BOYCOTT HIS WEB!

ITS A TRAP FOR EVERYONE TO PUT IN THEIR EMAIL AND ID!

THEN THROUGH THAT THEY CAN CHECK WITH THOSE WHO HAS BEEN POSTING IN MALAYSIA TODAY AND TAKE ACTION!!

WARN EVERYONE!!!

It's an attempt at remarketing and rebranding himself. I'll give Najib some credit.

Anonymous said...

And at least it stands out from other Malaysian blogs. You have Najib making a personal message right at the front-page. Seems to be the only Malaysian politician's blog/website to do so. I give him credit for trying.

Anonymous said...

Why bother to open a website? We can directly go to his house for his comments, advice and scholarship. If our comments are to polish his apples, it will be published and if it is critical of him, it will never see the light of day in his blog.

YB,

Respectfully where's the logic on your choice of the heading?

I'm not a pro-BN supporter but it seems to me that the govt can do nothing right.

The website was for "rational dialogue" but yet you are urging your readers to use it as another mailbox for another petitions (as if all of us malaysians are lacking in voicing our protest with thousands of blogs everywhere)

Please, do let rationality prevails.

I use to rally for the opposition but now I'm not so sure.

I just commented there: Release Teresa Kok and RPK NOW and then abolish ISA.

Posted my comments on the website as you ask.

I repeat that this is simply about decency.

To me its a lie the same way the cause of may 13, 1969 was a lie. The only reason to do this is to cause a ruckus. There is no threat. There is not even a semblance of truth. Its pure illegitimacy of anything UMNO/BN is going to do as an excuse.

Never trust a word by this hypocrite racist.

Never forget to seek justice for Altantuya!!

Finally, never forget this ugly chapter in Malaysian history (from Wikipedia):

In 1987, as UMNO Youth Chief, Najib threatened to bathe a keris (dagger) in Chinese blood shortly before the government launched a crackdown on extremist elements termed Operation Lalang. At the same rally, banners were hoisted carrying phrases such as "revoke the citizenship of those who opposed the Malay rulers", "May 13 has begun" (referring to the May 13 racial riots in 1969), and "soak it (the keris) with Chinese blood".

What say you Mr.Najis? You'll never become PM in 2010, as the "Altantuya" card will by shown to the world by the 4th floor boys!! Take care!!

I had also left a comment this morning to ask him to free RPK and Teresa Kok.

Anonymous said...

Should send Najib a comment asking him where is Balasubramaniam ?

Anyway YB Tony, what next from Pakatan ?

Are you sure it's safe? I've checked that website. It requires us 2 fill in our names, emails, and mobile phone number! What he didn't ask for is I.C number but it's close right? ;P

Later we'll be charged with seditious comments under the Sedition Act.

Thanks to the government I've learnt a lot about different Acts within month ;P.

ITS A TRAP! DONT GO TO HIS WEBSITE AND COMMENT. TOMORROW YOU MIGHT FIND YOURSELF JOINING UTHAYAKUMAR AND GANG! BOYCOTT HIS WEBSITE!

I think the rakyat had already gave their comments on 8th March 2008 by denying BN electoral victory in 5 states, and by denying BN from getting more than two-thirds majority in the parliament.
That should send a loud and clear enough message to the BN not to take the rakyat for granted.
If the BN still remains adamant, then we'll see what happens next, and possibly, we may not have to wait for another four to five years...

LALILOo said...

Sorry, I just can't get myself to write to him. What comes out were @#%$*@#$, C4, mongol, etc.

Do you think he'll allow those comments ah?

Anonymous said...

Had send him a comment. Asking him to do us a favour by freeing Teresa Kok.

Very nice website. The slogan in the website very impressive too.

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't want to bother with this mother of all hypocrites. Back then he sang with the keris wanting to use as backscrub for his ass with chinese blood. Do a DNA on him & won't be surprise there will be Chinese blood in him as well. Most pirates of the South China Seas in the past were rebel Chinese sailors who settled in Sulawesi & around the other Indonesian archipelago. His ancestors will be waiting for him to give him a big whip...so, there you have it. Future PM of Malaysia is a descendant of pirates. Now we know why 2 MISC tankers were hijacked!!! It was an inside job.

peter, I wish it were that simple to follow the British system here. We do not have a British system, we have an Umno system here where it's do as you like to preserve power. But I thank you for enlightening me, I didn't know this.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps I should suggest to him to advise our dear Mr PM to meet up with Anwar since they are so confident that Pakatan Rakyat do not have the numbers to form a new government!!!!!!!!!!!Do you think he will buy that ?LOL

Anonymous said...

Dear YB Tony,

Please enlighten us with what's Standing Order 11(3).

Thank you.

Aiya you cynics I can't believe you are all not piling into the comments box asking for help. Already I have asked for a scholarship and whether he can help me with a big problem (my boss very bodoh). Am sure will be invited to his office very soon.

I couldn't help but cheekily ask "Will I be C4-ed?"

I really believe that Najib is willing to listen to us. His video sounded very convincing. He sounds so sure of himself, so unlike others who read their scripts written by others off the camera screen.

Indeed, I believe that he reads every comment with love and care. After all, he has made such an effort to write his own blog post. I do not believe that this is a public relations stint at all; the very suggestion that Najib would further spend taxpayers' money into the hefty fees of a public relations company is unthinkable.

=P

This web site is set up after his meeting with Pak Lah who told him he will be the finance minister. He then acts as he is already the PM.
