Increase Productivity Instead of Raising GST

Above is a clip from my press conference in Parliament this morning in response to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's comments that the GST will not burden the middle and lower income rakyat. I thought of course, the comment was nonsensical. ;-)

Actually the biggest mistake is that if they put in GST AND remove subsidies on food and energy, the effect will be very noticeable. I don't believe Najib has the balls to go ahead with GST implementation. He is just laying the groundwork. The back up plan is to pass the law BUT just borrow against the future revenue of GST to spend. In other words, he is going to spend the GST money EVEN before he gets the money...

I think it is best for the government to impose the GST. We would suffer for the next one or two years before the fed-up and poor folks boot BN out. Remember the oil subsidy which Pak Lah tried to reduce. That was one of the main reasons why BN lost so much.

Agree with Darryl Khoo, let this Mongolian ambassador go ahead with GST implementation and to commit political suicide. After the corrupt evil UMNO-BN regime loses power in GE13, the C4 murder case will open file again. I'm praying this to happen!! Thank you Tony!
