This must be one of the most truthful reports by New Straits Times! Check it out on Page 2 today. Read the caption accompanying the picture below. ;-)
I couldn't stop laughing. How ominous! And I blogged about his "new clothes" just about a year ago! ;-)

Hi Tony,
Wah!! Lots of good news huh in the mainstream newspapers these few days, like building new Chinese schools, bla bla bla.... we know what happens lah, won't be conned by them anymore.
Just want to share with you a story below.
-------------------------------------
This joke can be enjoyed by everyone. Not only that . It is politically correct and with a moral lesson.
VOTE WISELY IN THE COMING ELECTION
=======================================
While walking down the street one day a Malaysian Boleh Minister is tragically hit by a truck and dies.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."
"No problem, just let me in," says the man.
"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."
"Really, I have made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Yang Berhormat
"I'm sorry, but we have our rules," says St. Peter.
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and dressed in the finest batik there is. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then indulge themselves on lobsters, caviar and the most expensive food there is.
Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.
"Now it' s time to visit heaven."
So, 24 hours pass with the Yang Berhormat joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."
The Yang Berhormat reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think Ai yam better off in hell."
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.
He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.
"I don't understand," stammers the Yang Berhormat. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"
The devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning just like you during an election.... .. Today you voted."
lovely story! haha.
:)
Wah itu boutique mesti punuh customer datin datin dan puan sri puan sri dan toh puan toh puan!
Itu boutique ada emblem BN atau UMNO tak kat pintu?
令我想起了穿新衣的那個笨蛋國王;)
Well Dr Mahathir has his Bread shop, AAB has his “Emperor’s New Clothes”!
When he’s voted out of office GE2008, KLites may visit Abdullah Ahmad Badawi sitting there like an “emperor” watching the till.
OK. The stupidity of the PM aside, I was wondering what KJ and Nori was thinking.
The Emperor's New Clothes? What was the inspiration? What was the branding and marketing idea?
I then thought maybe they were alluding to the story. But even then how can it be a good idea? To target Chinese clients is still a bad idea. Does not work with Malay clients. As a brand for tourist, still don't work well.
What the hell were they thinking? It does not make sense in any form you look at it. Not just the pictures.
No election has been declared but already government leaders are campaigning with a total lack of integrity with taxpayers resources like transport and other facilities - such is the abuse of power.

Hi Tony,
Please read this

Good luck!
Do they sell BN underwear there??
You wear T-shirt when you are relaxed and not working unless you are working in a kueteow stall. So is he or his siblings telling us something? Or maybe he's taking TP's path, then he should opt for orange T-shirt ( and pink backpack) hehehe
Will the the shop sell or got exclusive rights to:
1 BERSIH yellow T shirts?
2 VK Lingam famous phrase and quotations t shirts?
If they do I am going to order bulk buying cos it will be selling like hot goreng pisang
well, you can put it as everybody's genius when stepped into the boutique - coz everybody can see the clothes. or that could also imply that the YB AAB is genius for able to see the clothes. plus, the word "emperor" sounds magnanimous, and complete sentence "emperor's new clothes" literally classy ....
Ahli UMNO di wajibkan membeli dan memakai Emperor's new clothes!
This picture portrays perfectly the nepotism practiced by Pak Lah -a private family business get officiated and made well known by the Prime Minister of the country!
Boycott this shop please!!!
We should drop by in our Bersih/Lingam/whathaveyou T-shirts and walk around the shop...just don't buy anything from it (unless you can live with the implication that you, like the Emperor, fell for the fairy-tale scam).
The fact that the owners have the cheek to name the shop after the fairy tale despite all its negative implications is basically an in-your-face display of their power and immunity.

Hi Tony,
I used your picture of the PM officiating the boutique for my blog. My posting is also entitled 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. I credit the picture to you of course. It's at rezazainalmeanderings.blogspot.com
If you have any reservation..I will remove it.
