What we are witnessing in Perak today is a total and complete mockery and contempt for our democratic institutions.
We are watching a minor league football game whereby the referee, linesmen, officials, physio and even the ushers in the stadium are breaking all rules and conventions to prevent a fair game from taking place. The referee and officials are not only biased, they are actually taking part in the game itself, as the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th (or more) players!
All in the mean time, the crowd watched in horror what is happening before their very eyes, that has widespread ramifications for all football games to be held throughout the country.
It is just shocking. Even diplomatic officials whom I've met shook their heads in absolute amazement, what is actually happening in our beloved country. The civil service, the police, the judiciary and even arguably the royalty, are supposed to be institutions which protect the rakyat and fair play. Instead, they have shown their true colours in becoming institutions to protect the interest of Barisan Nasional.
IT is advice PAKATAN should terminate the DUN secretary, Majlis perbandaran and any state department head to the new HEAD which close to PAKATAN or NEUTRAL.

let this be a lesson to all the other PR state governments (kedah, penang, selangor). start hunting down all the BN sleepers and appointees in all levels of the state civil service and state GLCs. replace them all with technocrats, headhunted from the market (with the current global economic recession, there are plenty of talented and experienced msians overseas who will be looking for jobs...get them just like what shanghai is trying to do). build them up to be PR's trusted team of technocrats ready to implement policies and ensure they're are executed well.
ReplyDeleteit's not going to be easy, but it sure is infinitely much better than sitting around like a sitting duck and let all these planted BN saboteurs screw you at every available opportunity, scuttle all your policies, and come the next elections PR get booted out because the rakyat wouldn't know nor care that PR's non-performance is due to sabotage.
This is the fruits of 50 years in power... they have politically influenced all government machinery especially through politically appointed persons into government machinery....

This is a really sad day for Malaysia. BN does not respect the rule of law at all. In this economic uncertainty we want to encourage foreign investments. Who wants to invest in a country that does not respect the rule of law?

2. Only PR supporters will believe what you say.
3. Your blog/views, despite of what you might say, is definitely not from a Neutral point of view.

In essence, you are a politician/blogger preaching Pakatan Rakyat/DAP propaganda. I do not expect any neutral remarks from you.
The average person in Perak will only want the state to continue working for the people and stop politicking, regardless if its a PR or BN govt. Any govt. that is quarrelling and/or politicking is a useless govt. That goes for the PR too.
And that is a NEUTRAL statement.

ReplyDeleteIts unbelievabe that a very respected and learned royalty allowed this to happen under his royal nose. Much water has passed since YB Nizar got the royal boot, but the sentiments of the rakyat surely must have been felt by all and sundry in the palace, yet nothing comes out of it. The detractors (you know who I mean) got away with it and we can only sigh and whine about it.
Reading through these comments, I do not why people are so disappointed, upset and pessimistic.

They have lost. Unless they postphone election for years i.e., beyond 2013 as required, they have already lost. Nothing they can do will make up for what has happened AND its very limited what they can actually do.

Those State Secretary are like landlords. If they did it to PR, they will also or has done to non-UMNO parties like MCA, Gerakan and MIC. They have been telling them to kerk off.
